Strengthening the ties of community, creating opportunities and having lots of fun; That is the primary focus of PEER (The Pagan Educational Empowerment Resource). PEER is a unique group, in that it refuses to be tied to one specific place, ideology or tradition. The organization operates as an independent congregational body, who’s members come from many paths and traditions. Its current membership is primarily concentrated in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. PEER gatherings and outings are designed to expose its members to the many diverse Pagan/ Earth Centered groups, practices and opportunities in the local area. For this reason PEER outings are planed for different locations each month. Every PEER gathering is intended to be a safe harbor where people can learn through shared experience and speak openly without fear of retribution.
PEER has an educational component that operates in these primary areas; Issues of cultural survival, scholarly research peaces, faith practices, law, rights, philosophy and spiritual development.
